i came across this freeware chinese OCR program (optical character recognition) , it helps you convert scanned chinese documents into editable text that can be translated easily by Babel Fish for example ...

but it has one down side , as it doesn't automatically convert the text , so after you load the image , you'll have to manually click on the characters and then choose the appropriate one from 9 different characters that the program gives you (but it's almost always #0 though).....

i thought this is a great tool for people how don't know how to input chinese text (i know i dont  Grin!) ......

is it really that useless  HuhHuh?

really excellent - works very well!

It's a shame it doesn't load pdf's or jpg's, but it's quite easy to convert from one format to the other.
