Nanshan Ski Resort (南山滑雪场)
Nanshan Ski Resort is located in the northeast suburbs of Beijing, in Miyun District. It is the only medium-sized ski resort on the suburbs of Beijing where you can reach 30 minutes.
The ski resort covers an area of about 670 acres. It is the only winter resort in Beijing and North China with a set of ski, slide, ice climbing and other recreational sports. As the largest ski resport in Beijing-Tianjin Bohai Region with the most advanced facilities and the widest range of ski slopes, it has already had 21 trails for ski slope, teaching and recreation to high, middle and junior skiers. It also has the largest snowboard Park in China --NANSHAN MELLOW PARK, and firstly opened up the middle and senior Mogul Slope and Wave Channel in the country. Nanshan also has China's first "wild snow Park" which becomes a non-mainstream skiing site for wild snow skiers in Beijing.
This resort is located in Shengshuitou Village, Henanzhai Town, Miyun District, approximately 62 kilometers (39 miles) from the downtown area. With more than 6,500 sets of skiing equipment, you will find yourself in a winter wonderland. The newly introduced hi-tech artificial snow making system and cableways ensure improved safety of visitors, making their trip more comfortable. Devoting itself to fulfilling customers’ needs, Nanshan has over 150 certified professional coaches. The entertainment facility “Dry Land Sledges” from Germany, with a total course of 1,318 meters (4,324 feet), crosses through nine overpasses and a 328-feet (100-meter) tunnel, winning popularity from visitors.
How to get to Nanshan Ski Village
1. Take the shuttle bus running between Sanyuanqiao/Wudaokou/Shaoyaoju and the resort. The bus line operates from early December to the end of February, with a round-trip fare of CNY 45. It departs from Sanyuanqiao / Wudaokou/ Shaoyaoju at 8:30. Visitors need to book tickets one day in advance by calling 010-89091909.
2. Take Dongzhimen - Miyun Special Line 980 at Dongzhimen Long Distance Bus Station and get off at Taiyang Jiayuan station. Then take a taxi (about CNY 25) to arrive at Nanshan.
