About Chef Ku
Chef Ku is currently the Managing Director and Executive Chef of Beijing Kitchen Restaurant. He has previously spent 4 years as the head chef at Chinese restaurant of The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka and then served as Executive Chinese Chef at The Ritz-Carlton, Beijing for 7 years. Before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Chef Ku worked at Lei Garden in Hong Kong for 12 years, widely regarded as the best “training school” of the Cantonese food industry.
Chef Ku believes that the secret to Cantonese cuisine lies in the precise control of ingredients and cooking. Besides traditional Cantonese-style cooking techniques, Chef Ku also draws inspiration from other cuisines to bring out the flavors of Cantonese dishes. His artistic food presentation is heavily influenced by Japanese food culture.
